With a Law degree from the University of Brasília, I conducted several researches on the topic of Facial Recognition and Public Security within the UnB Scientific Initiation Program (PROIC) during the 2022, 2023 (the year she received a CNPQ scholarship) and 2024 editions. I was also a scholarship recipient from the Ministry of Racial Equality (MIR) in the ANTI-RACIST NETWORKS program developed in conjunction with UnB. In the project, worked on administrative support for the activities of ‘Project Doras’. Within the scope of these projects, the activity of coordinating the Round Table Discussion and mini-exhibition on “Academic Research in Law, Human Rights and Racial Relations” was developed. Finally, it is also worth highlighting the award in the 1st ILLUSTRATION CONTEST OF BLACK BRAZILIAN THINKERS AND AUTHORS: A REWRITING OF BRAZIL, with the illustration ‘In the footsteps of Laudelina, Preta Rara, the ‘Terror of the Bosses’.
In nowadays I work as a researcher in Laboratório de Políticas Públicas e Internet (LAPIN),a civil society organization dedicated to studying data protection policy in greater detail. Specifically, I work in the surveillance context working group and am developing projects on the critical analysis of the use of facial recognition by public security, focusing on Smart Sanpa and digital walls. I have even contributed to the publication of a technical note on the subject.
