Sandboxes for data

Creating spaces for agile solutions across borders

The report “Sandboxes for data: creating spaces for agile solutions across borders” has been produced by the Datasphere Initiative with the support of the United Kingdom’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS)

It provides a roadmap for policymakers on how to design and initiate cross-border sandboxes for data. The report explores how sandboxes could help address the cross-border nature of data value chains, complementing multilateral negotiations which can be lengthy in achieving consensus.

The report kick-started the Datasphere Initiative’s work to examine the model of cross-border sandboxes for data, what they could stand for, and how they could offer workable solutions for complex data challenges.

To help the Datasphere Initiative team solicit feedback on the report, its findings and the potential for sandboxes for data we have prepared a short survey to gather input and expertise. Please take a moment to contribute to this survey and mark your interest in participating in the Datasphere Initiative’s further work on sandboxes for data.
