The Datasphere Initiative is a non-profit dedicated to global collaboration on technical and policy solutions for the urgent, multidimensional, and cross-border challenges of data governance.
We do this by connecting and amplifying voices from stakeholders from across sectors, conducting research on concrete data challenges and opportunities, experimenting with policy and technical data-sharing solutions and working with decision makers to enact change in data governance narratives, policies and strategies.

A campaign to UN member countries to establish an International Decade on Data for People and Planet.
Datasphere Observatory
An open-access online platform where actors and initiatives are identified and spotlighted to support the understanding of the data governance field.
Policy and Dialogue
Series of dialogues to connect policy and technology silos, and share best practices and learnings into a global policy fora.
Fellowship program
It provides an opportunity for graduate students and professionals to work on novel research and dialogue on data governance.
Protocols
Modular charters for data communities to reduce transaction costs and provide predictability, as part of a general protocol approach for responsible data-sharing.
