In Latin America and the Caribbean, we are trying to govern Digital Public Infrastructure and Artificial Intelligence as institutions navigate different stages and rapidly evolving demands for digital transformation. José Luis is a Policy Analyst at the Datasphere Initiative, where he contributes to the development of digital products to scale sandbox methodologies globally. He also supports the Initiative’s work across Latin America and the Caribbean and globally through research, analysis and capacity building on AI and Digital Public Infrastructure, while driving outreach and communications, partnership development, and the identification of funding opportunities aligned with the Initiative’s mission.
He has worked with government institutions in Mexico on regulatory diagnostics, performance evaluation systems, and data-driven policy recommendations. He previously led data quality initiatives at the Data Science department of PSL Group, a data and intelligence company focused on healthcare and medical communications.
