The webinar “Data for Artificial Intelligence in Asia: Trends and Challenges” co-organized by Data for Development Network (D4D.net), the Global Index on Responsible AI, and the Datasphere Initiative, took place on Thursday, May 16, 2024. The event is part of the webinar series called Let’s Talk About Data and AI.

This regional event addressed the main trends and challenges of the use of artificial intelligence in Asia and how data governance is being developed in the region. This session sparked discussion around the data that is being used for AI developments in the region and potential disparities that are created, such as the development of AI solutions with data from the global north.
